C. Lesson Introduction - A Christian family is an institution where parents are bound together by Christian love, where children are happy and spiritually instructed. It is a home where the Lord Jesus is the supreme head.
A Christian family is one that radiates Christ, welcomes strangers and dispenses hospitality. A Christian family consists of God- fearing parents and children. The Christian family is the bedrock of the nation and the glory of the Christian church. May God grant us Christian families.

B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan - At the end of the lesson, students should be able to identify what role is required from every member of the family father, mother, both parents and child.
C. Text Review-Titus2:1-14
Titus 2:7-8 appears to be addressing all components of the family. Its demands are as follows: a. Show pattern of good works in all things.
b. Show incorruptness, gravity and sincerity in doctrine.
c. Show sound speech that cannot be condemned in conversation. Doing these will glorify God and put the devil and his cohorts to shame.
D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use lecture teaching method.
E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.

ii. To love the wife in health “sickness, poverty and prosperity, I Cor. 13; Eph. 5:25, Colossians 3: 19
iii. To be faithful to the wife (honesty and frankness)
iv. To comfort the wife in sorrow, pain etc. I Sam. 1:8
v. To consult with wife on matters affecting the home e.g. business, finance, etc.
vi. To serve as priest to the home.

v. To show good work of modesty, sobriety, meekness and quiet spirit. I Peter3: 4-5; I Tim. 2:9-10

iii. LESSON OUTLINE 3 - DUTIES OF BOTH PARENTS
i. They should teach their children the way of God early in life. Matt. 19: 13-14
ii. They should train and discipline the children for the Lord, through the Sunday school, Church, Bible stories etc. Provo 22:6
iii. They should teach the children to obey God's commandments.
iv. They should teach the children to respect constituted authorities. Deut.32:46
v. They should provide for the needs of the children. I Tim. 5:8
vi. They should love the children and not provoke them. Eph.6:4
vii. They should pray for the children for salvation, holiness, victory, etc.
iv. LESSON OUTLINE 4 - DUTIES OF CHILDREN IN THE HOME
i. To honour their parents. Exodus 20:12
ii. To obey their parents. Luke 2:51
iii. To love their parents.
iv. To show good work/examples in all things. Titus 2:6-7
v. To pray for their parents too.
vi. To pattern their lives in order to become great leaders in the future.

SUMMARY - Be responsible in your family.
CONCLUSION· The secret of a successful Christian home is in the family altar, where Christ is crowned the Head of the home. Love is the second secret. Parents should also remember they are all children with a loving Father above, who constantly demonstrates His love, the Almighty God.
